04 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - ½ teaspoon paprika

09 - ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
10 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
11 - ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

→ Garnish

12 - Additional grated Parmesan cheese
13 - Extra chopped fresh parsley

# How-to Steps:

01 - Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
02 - Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
03 - Arrange wings in a single layer in air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
04 - Air fry for 24-26 minutes, shaking basket halfway through cooking time, until wings are golden brown and crispy.
05 - While wings cook, melt butter in small saucepan over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan, parsley, and red pepper flakes if using.
06 - Transfer cooked wings to large bowl. Pour garlic-Parmesan butter over wings and toss thoroughly to coat.
07 - Serve immediately, garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley as desired.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The garlic butter sauce transforms simple wings into something you would order at a wing spot but better
  • Air frying means you get restaurant level crispiness without the mess and guilt of deep frying
  • These reheat beautifully for lunch the next day if you somehow have leftovers
02 -
  • Patting the wings extremely dry with paper towels is the single most important step for crispy skin any moisture left will steam them
  • Let the sauce cool for just a minute after removing from heat so it thickens slightly and coats the wings instead of running right off
03 -
  • Grate your Parmesan from a wedge instead of buying pre grated it makes a huge difference in how the sauce clings to the wings
  • If your air fryer runs hot check the wings at 22 minutes and adjust accordingly better to check early than to overcook
