01 - Combine strawberries, sugar, and water in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Mash lightly and heat for 2-3 minutes until strawberries are soft and syrupy. Allow to cool slightly, then blend until smooth.
02 - Whisk matcha powder with hot water in a small bowl until completely dissolved and frothy, using a bamboo whisk or milk frother.
03 - Divide the strawberry puree evenly between two serving glasses. Add ice cubes on top of the puree.
04 - Pour milk gently over the strawberry and ice layer to maintain separation.
05 - Carefully pour the matcha mixture over the milk to create a distinct layered effect. Stir before drinking if desired.
